“The 1st Dimension” by Josh Armstrong with demonstration by Sherri Gilkerson, Produced by NMSU College of Agriculture, Videography/Editing by Tomilee Turner. Produced by Armstrong Equine Services, Instructor: Josh Armstrong

The “1st Dimension” with Josh Armstrong, is the clearest and simplest explanation yet of the relationship of horse and man. The basics of mental discipline and body control in the horse as well as the fundamentals of building a strong rider position are presented in a unique approach that shows not only what to do, but how to do it, and why it works. An emphasis is placed on understanding what motivates both the horse and the rider and the priorities involved in the communication between them.

Armstrong’s easy to understand, comprehensive teaching style has placed him in demand as a clinician in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. Located in La Mesa, New Mexico, the students he has trained have won numerous championship awards at state, regional, and national levels. His horses have placed in the Top Ten at shows as prestigious as the American Quarter Horse World and Youth World Championships and the All-American Quarter Horse Congress.
